Meet Kortney Wilson

This is a shoot I did for Kortney Wilson, half of the country duo, The Wilsons.  She and her husband, David are old friends from my days working at MCN.  They’ve got a reality show on CMT Canada (they show some episodes occasionally on CMT in the US).  She’s likely to start on a solo project in the near future.  Hopefully some of these shots will be used for them.  The other half of The Wilsons is David Wilson.  Dave has a rock background, and hopefully, we’ll get to hear some of that material too.  They’re both Canadians from Ontario, but not my town, Toronto (TORONTO STAND UP!).

Pleasant Green’s Installation Ceremony

About two months ago, I was commissioned to shoot the installation ceremony for Pleasant Green Missionary Baptist Church’s new pastor, Pastor Michael Lomax.  It was a great celebration, and the house was PACKED.  Very emotional and you can feel the outpouring of love, and the presence of the Spirit in the building.  A great evening.

John Gray

This guy does it all.  Seriously.  He’s a minister, singer, songwriter, actor, comedian, budding movie director, author…I’ve probably missed a few so I just need to shut up.  Anyway check him out at http://www.johngrayworld.com. John Gray is a good dude, for real.  It is an honor to work with him on various projects.  He’s got some big projects on the horizon, so keep an eye out on this cat.

Kendra Dunn Book Release Party

It’s not all the time I get to shoot an event…in a dark spot, at that.  Just so you know, this was more of a nightlife kind of event, so I shot this with the sole purpose of just capturing who was there at the event.  Anyway, I had to borrow a 580EX from a friend so I can have some flash action happening.  This was for my friend, Kendra, who I worked with at the state.  She’s putting out a book, but at the same time, this event also was her friend, Phyllis’ birthday party.  I need to cop some speedlites for sure.  Two of them to be exact; complete with the brackets so I can mount em on some light stands.

Sean Smith

I did this shoot around the end of February with the help of Larry McGoogin (aka Verses). Sean Smith is a super-talented bassist who is now embarking on his solo mission.  He’s played bass for and alongside alot of country music’s biggest names.  No, he doesn’t have a country project in the works, but he is actually a jazz musician.  I’ve heard a couple tracks from his upcoming album, and WOW!  Good stuff for real.  I’ll keep y’all posted on this project as I think this project primes him as a force to be reckoned with.
